Tessa.
I'm from Arnhem, lived in Doornenburg for a while, and my partner Tieme grew up in Ruurlo. When we started looking for a place of our own, Doesburg felt like home straight away — right between our two worlds.
Together we bought an 88m² listed monument on Philippus Gastelaarsstraat — built in 1685, in the historic centre of this Hanseatic town. We just started sharing under @interieurvantesss, because we want to document this adventure — for ourselves and for everyone following along.
Doesburg is perfect for us: close to family in Arnhem and the Achterhoek, with the calm of a Hanseatic town and enough character to make our creative hearts beat faster. On this site we take you through the whole journey — from the first preparations and the nerve-wracking key handover, through demo days, colour choices and room-by-room transformations, to the first drinks, dinners and cosy evenings in our new home.
